Get an early edition of iPhone 3G

Just in case you won't be in time when the iPhone 3G is officially out on next July 11th, or if the Apple Stores are out of stock just as you're next in line on the counter. I can't even imagine the disappointment, or how angry you'll get if that ever happen! ;-p

If that to be happend (God forbid!), then to assure you'll get the latest and most awaited shiny gizmo from Apple is to get it as early as you can.

Engadget Mobile has an interesting news leak you might want to consider to know before hand: We have it from a trusted source that the world's first iPhone 3G will be on sale at 00:01, Friday July 11th, in New Zealand -- that's still Thursday, July 10th at 5:01 in the AM in Cupertino or 13:01 hours in London. At that precise minute, Vodafone NZ will swing open the doors of its Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch shops to your overeager HSDPA jones. So, now that you know the next move is all yours.

While on the other side of the world;
The Times of India was reporting that Vodafone set to offer the Apple iPhone to its subscribers in India before 2008-end. Its inaugural price was Rs 15,960 for 8GB and Rs 19,960 for 16GB with a two-year service agreement.

A Vodafone India spokesman declined to comment further on the company's offering.However, a company official promised that the price would be "competitive".

Vodafone will have to come up with a specific scheme in India to upgrade its existing customers to the iPhone as it is very likely that a vast majority of customers here will be from their existing prepaid customers spread across their 16 existing and 6 new circles.

It remains to be seen whether Vodafone will offer a return policy for these iPhones. In the US, AT&T offers a 14-day return policy provided the phone is returned at the original point of purchase.

In the advertisement on
Vodafone India web page, the company is offering to pre-register customers for the iPhone 3G. The company however cautions that the device offered by Vodafone is currently compatible only with 2G networks, and some of its features may not work in India's wireless mobile phone network.

Oooh..., I can already see you're feeling itchy on your seat. What's your next move then? ;-p ~LOL~
