Tag Heur's Meridiist redefines luxury in mobile phone


The luxurious mobile phone market was dominated by Vertu for quite some time, but Tag Heur has entered the scarce market with it's brand new "Meridiist". Manufactured by the same who made Levi's mobile phone; the Modelabs is a French based phone company. The Meridiist can be ordered in several modifications to its back panel; there are various options like leather, steel, plastic, etc. According to GSMArena here, it'll sports the following specs:


  • 1.9-inch QVGA display with unscrathable 60.5 carat sapphire crystal for display

  • secondary OLED display with 96x76 pixels resolutions (on top, as seen in picture left)

  • 2M pixels camera

  • astonishing battery life up to 7 hours talk time

If you want this marvelous piece of handset, then you won't have to wait long. It'll be available on September 2008, for around 3400-3900 Euro (vary depending on the modificaten you chose) you can bring one at Tag Heur's boutiques and selected watch & jewelry stores.
