HTC & Microsoft are creating their own Pl@net

The software giant (Microsoft) & one of the biggest mobile phone manufacturer: HTC have announced a mobile Internet service station in Taiwan called Pl@net.

The service is planned to launch on July 1st, where it'll offer various informations from entertainment, news, travel planning and shopping, as well as concert tickets and content from Warner Music. Several well-known internet shops in Taiwan also have joined in to
Pl@net, including an online bookstore run by Eslite and the HappyGoCard, where the customers can get a shopping discount and point card by using the service.

To fully support the upcoming
Pl@net service, HTC also announced a new version of My Connect into version 2, where the mobile software able to put a button on a handset's touchscreen that users can push for quick software downloads, to share pictures, and more. One button on My Connect sends users right in the services and entertainment offered on Pl@net.
