But don't worry, because there are other alternative ways for you to look super cool just like David Beckham on the left picture there with his Bluetooth headset. Oh, don't pay too much attention on his tattoos so you can concentrate. ;-p
Corinne Iozzio at PC Mag has found four Bluetooth headsets that are now in cheaper price tag:
- Plantronics Discovery 655, Was: $120, Is: $35, Why You Want It: Though it's not as flashy as the never Discovery 925, the 655's slick design, great sound quality, and overall comfort are not to be ignored. In fact, one our biggest gripes when we first tested this headset many, many months ago was its price tag; a more than three-fourths drop in price makes short work of that gripe.
- Motorola Slider Bluetooth Headset H800, Was: $120, Is: $40, Why You Want It: Sure, it doesn't win any fans for its noise canceling bravado, but Motorola's H800 is a winner when it comes to weight and power saving. Its big claim to fame, the RapidConnect Slider, pops the mic open and powers the headset up when you press the call button, which helps save power.
- Aliph Jawbone, Was: $120, Is: $80, Why You Want It: We admit it, we oohed and ahhed at the Aliph New Jawbone last month, but that doesn't make us love the original any less. For those for whom price is the primary concern, the original may be even more tempting: It has stellar sound, an awesome design, superb comfort, and (now) a rock-bottom price.
- Jabra BT500, Was: $120, Is: $89, Why You Want It: It may not win any design competitions, but this Jabra is tops when it comes to comfort—especially if you're going to be wearing your headset for hours on end. The audio quality isn't bad, either.
Hope that's enough to redeem myself from your anger, but please my dear readers; spend your money wisely. Because the iPhone 3G day of reckoning is getting near... ;-D
