Sony Ericsson MD400/g HSPA USB modem
It strucks me to know, that most of mobile users out there more prefer to use a seperate wireless data modem than using their own 3G/HSDPA-enabled mobile phones.
There are many reasons of course, but I'm guessing that the main reason is probably they don't want to miss any calls or text messages when connecting their mobile phones to the laptop as modem. So in this case an USB modem will comes in handy, not only USB port is now available in most laptops or netbooks now; rather than using a PCMCIA or an Express Card modem.
And now Sony Ericsson is planning to release yet another HSPA USB modem, code named as MD400 & MD400g. Set to be introduced at CommunicAsia in Singapore, starting on June 17th this year.
Where according to Engadget Mobile; the retrackable HSPA USB stick modem can be used as M2/microSD memory stick as well, and have data download transfer up to 7.2Mbps & upload at 2Mbps speed. And the most notable design of this new USB modem stick is its swivelling built-in antenna. No pricing yet, but Sony Ericsson says it will be available on Q4 this year with Exquisite Ebony and Lustrous White color options.
