Tough call: $99.99 Centro or $199 iPhone 3G?

The Verizon's Palm ~cobalt blue colored~ Centro has just been released, as what Sammy has posted here at PA.

Although some tech weblogs and many tech analysts, and not to mention plenty Palm fans too, have all said that Palm has reached its limit with Centro and is facing difficult times ahead with the release of iPhone 3G. The little fact that I see myself, is that the (Verizon's) Centro still able to cause a tiny small wave of excitement; in mobile world.

The Verizon's Centro still got here and there review, also hands-on coverage from various weblogs. Such as the hands-on by Engadget Mobile picture you see there on the left. Sure the Centro is nothing new, not a thing we haven't know of this one than the previous Centro offered by other wireless carriers. But nevertheless with Verizon also is offering Centro, I'm quite confident that Palm will be able to reach its Centro sales target this quarter of year. (fingers-crossed)

But another dilemma resurface again for mobile users, who are looking for a new handset right now. Since Apple's newest iPhone 3G will only costs around $199 (for the 8GB model) on AT&T's network, the $99.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year Verizon customer agreement Centro will face a tough competition. Aside from the undeniable facts that iPhone 3G has better specs and 'sexier' look, the
white back colored iPhone is very-very tempting, can Palm still rely on its fan-base customers to stay in the game? I hope so, for the sake of Palm...
