RDK explained that the innovation behind Mimique’s design is based on Google’s Android, the open-source mobile platform that breaks down old customs of mobile phone barriers and puts control back into the hands of the customers.
And the Mimique’s concept itself is: “a response to feature-heavy cell phones that look more like PDAs than phones. Playful and engaging, the Mimique's design marries the heritage of old-school cell phones with next-generation style and touch-screen technology. The Mimique will use the new open-source cell phone software which will allow users to download features and "skins." With downloadable upgrades, users won't need to buy a new phone to get new features.”

But Mimique is only a design concept in the making, it’s a very slim chance that it’ll make it into the real mobile phone factory. All what is left for us to do, is to drool over the gorgeous looking Treo-iPhonish alike picture while we’re still in the atmosphere of iPhone 2.0 euphoria.
Hey, who knows perhaps Steve Jobs will change his mind and make this Mimique as the new iPhone 2.0 we’ve been waiting for? ;-p Yeah right, if Steve to wear Ed’s suit at WWDC ’08 and not his usual black-turtle-neck shirt; then I think we have a slight ray of hope to see this come true. ~LOL~
