Brando's Solar Powered Leather Case for iPhone 2G/3G

If you're an outdoor adventurer, or maybe simply just a beach stroller, and your current mobile phone is iPhone; then you'll gonna love this latest case from Brando.com.hk, an Asian technology importer, it's is a solar-powered iPhone case/charger.

Aside from its usual look, the special thing about this black colored leather case is its built-in solar power cell placed on the front cover. If your iPhone runs out of battery juice, all you'll need to do is place this case (with your iPhone plugged inside it) under the sun. There are two ways for the owner to recharge the iPhone within it: directly charging the iPhone with solar power or let the built-in battery inside the case recharge the iPhone.

According to the manufacturer, your iPhone can be fully recharged 3 hours by using the built-in battery inside the case. And to recharge back the built-in battery with solar power, it'll take approximately 12 hours. But if you believe that leaving this case under the sun for 12 hours is going to make it too hot and melt, *chuckles* then you can recharge it with the old-goody USB power.

For $48 price tag, you can choose two options for the case: flip-top or slide-open. John Biggs blogs from
The new York Times reported: "The case adds about 3 ounces, or 85 grams, to your telephone's overall weight." With this case, you don't have to worry to take your iPhone away with you too far from home.

So, are you ready to go outside? ;-D Sources are from
