Do-It-Yourself iPhone Stand clock
When a gorgeous device meets a creative mind, there's always something modest yet practical design will come up. Nathan Barry had been after a nice looking digital clock for the bedroom for ages, so when he downloaded "Digital Clock" app from App Store, he made an iPhone stand from the plastic tray of the iPhone 3G box.
It doesn't look bad at all, and the best is it can easily be done. "Quite easy to do," Nathan said, "All you need is a sharp craft knife and a steady hand." On a special note, Nathan rounded off the cut-off of the plastic tray corners for purely aesthetic reasons. ;-D --pictured above---
Lastly, Nathan suggested: "It's quite customizable (colour, brightness and digit style) and auto-rotates. Only problem is you have to leave it on all night - which used to drain the battery almost flat, until I discovered the 'Airplane Mode'! It turns off all the radios - wi-fi, 3G, GPS etc. You can't receive calls or texts, but who wants to during the night anyway?"
