AT&T now offers refurbished iPhone 3G for $149.99 shipped

Are you one of those people who prefer to own a brand new thing, instead of using something that has been touched and used by someone else before you?

If you are, then you should just go ahead and skip this news. ;-p

Perhaps caused by the atmosphere from the holidays season, AT&T is feeling to give out refurbished iPhone 3G with low prices. The refurbished 8GB iPhone 3G is offered at $149.99 with free overnight shipping, while the 16GB model (in either black or white) is sold at $249.99 a piece. All are tied to a 2-year contract, which costs $70 per month at a bare minimum.

For you who're not familiar with the "refurbished" term, here's the description AT&T provides:

"Refurbished phones are previously owned devices that have been unused or lightly used and returned during the 30-day trial period. Each refurbished phone is independently quality tested and loaded with the latest software to meet current factory standards. Some refurbished iPhone 3G devices will have minor scratches."

Not everyone is willing to save $50 bucks for a shorter warranty, AT&T says its refurbished iPhone 3G's warranty is "90 days or more." But hey, that's quite a lot of money for a cheapskate like me. ~LOL~

At least I'm not the only one... Source is from Cheapskate.
