It only takes two steps to tango

I had a nice lunch with some old friends while I'm in the big city (duh, yeah I'm just a modest small countryman ;-p) yesterday, at my favorite place to satisfy the addiction of mine for coffee: Starbucks! We exchanged stories, including why we chose the mobile phones that each of us currently use. And I actually got the same annoying question like what non-Palm users ask: "Is that a BlackBerry?", while they're pointing & grabbing my Treo.

I understand the silly question, because Palm brand is not well know ~yet~ in my country; Indonesia. So I tried as passionate as ever to explain what Palm is, and what they can do with Treo if it's in their hands. It's unbearable when they show lack of interest, mostly caused by Treo's bulky and heavy physical.

All of a sudden, I've got great idea to get their attention back to Palm topic. I told them about Palm Addict, and when I mentioned about the MacBook Air (MBA) giveaway; you should see how they all were excited to know more and kept on bugging me even I've told them to see for themselves. I'm not sure what excite them more; the MBA alone or those plenty giveaway prizes? And they got hyper-excited after I said how easy it is to be entered into the giveaway's winner list, but too bad I couldn't show them right away cause no one brought a laptop along (and I've sold mine).

So I became a sudden-dance tutor, and teach them the first two steps to take in order to start dancing tango at PA:

1. No need to be shy, or feels like being left-out just because you only have a cheap smartphone. Since any mobile thought & experience with any kind of mobile phones are accepted.
2. Start writing even though your english is that bad, cause at least that shows you're really came from where you said you are (aside from US & UK, and any other native english language). Honesty is something that we hold very dear & close to our bossom.

"It's that easy & that simple, no other web sites or weblogs have this generous giveaways!", I told them repeatedly. I text messaged them Sammy's email address & also PA's address, hopefully they'll soon become PA readers and maybe contributor too in the future (fingers crossed).

Speaking of a great giveway, the MBA giveaway ends this Sunday on US PT midnight. So don't forget to keep on sending those emails to Sammy; and for fellow Associate Writers to keep those posts flowing to PA. Let's flood PA with enourmous number of posts, so Sammy (and Lindsey too) will have hard times on picking up the winner ;-D.
