It doesn't matter whether Yahoo right now is in tail-chasing situation with Microsoft, but Yahoo still updates their Messenger into version 9 Beta. Stephen Shankland (NewsBlog) is reporting there has been tremendous new updates in this new Yahoo Messenger 9 Beta, they are:- Voice chat, from computer to computers & from phone to phones.
- SMS to mobile phones.
- A Windows Sidebar gadget version.
- Integration with Yahoo address book.
- Integration with Flickr.
- Ability to view videos and photos sent as Web page links in the chat window.
- Customizable skins.
- Tabbed converstations.
Looks very solid new IM application to me, especially if it can make calls & send SMS to mobile phones. Interested? Get it at Yahoo download page
