Deliciously looking LG's Chocolate 3

To tell you the truth, I had a hard time trying to figure out the title for this post. I was going to use the word "melt", but then again most of other tech weblogs have already using it for their posts about LG's Chocolate 3. ;-p

Anyway, the second mobile vendor who is brave enough to release its latest handset and go head-to-head with iPhone 3G; LG has announced the availability of Chocolate 3 on Verizon network on July 13th.

The Chocolate 3 will be the marquee music phone for Verizon's new V Cast Music with Rhapsody deal, plus it's the first Verizon phone to feature "Dashboard"; a Flash-based portal that delivers multimedia information to the phone. The LG Chocolate 3 will be available for $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.

While Palm's Treo 800w is now having a nice hands-on review directly from Palm fans, the Chocolate 3 gets handled early by LaptopMag weblog. Here are some of the most notable quick review from LaptopMag:

"LG ditched the slider design of the two previous Chocolates for a clamshell form instead. Fans of the soft spin wheel will love that LG kept it on the front cover, and you can also use it as a 5-way navigation pad. A 2-megapixel camera is also on the top lid.

I noticed the Chocolate 3 also has VZ Navigator v.4.1 loaded on it, which means you’ll have access to current traffic information, as well as the standard offerings such as location-based search and navigation directions through the unit’s AGPS feature.

Like the LG Dare and other music phones in Verizon Wireless’ lineup, the Chocolate 3 is paired with the Rhapsody music store, so for every $1.99 song you download on the road, you’ll get a DRM-free copy on your computer."

LaptopMag also included a blurry video hands-on & more photo shots at its website, but looks like they're in a real hurry because the photo shots look really off sided and not too good. ;-p
