Philips joins the “iPhone-killer” parade with X800 & X-Connect

Every mobile phone manufacturers are racing to create new handsets every now and then, handsets that are worthy to compete with Apple’s shiny one-and-only handset: iPhone.

Philips is one of them, and although it's very rare for us to see a new Philips mobile phones; things will change when the X800 has arrived on the store's shelves. This first full touch-screen mobile phone from the China-based manufacturer, is finally official and ready.

Here's the quick rundown on the X800 specs:


  • Tri-band GSM
  • only up to GPRS class 10, no EDGE connectivity
  • 2.9-inches of 240x400 pixels display with 256K colors
  • microSD expansion slot
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
  • USB connector
  • 2M pixels camera with autofocus
  • Office document viewer
  • Philip's amazing Li-Ion battery, which able to 850 hours of standy and 8 hours of talk time

Sadly, there's no words yet on when we could get our hands on this X800 or how much it'll cost. The same thing goes for the X800's sibling: X-Connect, only a picture and few specs are available right now:
