What you'll get next in iPhone 2.0

Oh yeah, you know it's end of the weekend. So that means it's another round of iPhone 2.0 rumors as usual, I'll bring forth to you all of those "close-to-reality" rumors & gossips for the upcoming new iPhone you've been all waiting for.

It's been a quiet weekend for iPhone, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to dig out more for me. So I've gone down low and dirty myself just to get these fantastic news for you guys. Let's have them already, here we go:

  • 3G iPhone with GPS, Video Conferencing, TV? The GPS feature is already a sealed and sure feature to come within iPhone 2.0 as what I've reported before here at PA, but according to MacRumors said: "Unique to this source, however, is the report that the iPhone would come with GPS, Video Conferencing and Mobile TV functionality. GPS and video conferencing (with front-sided camera) have both been rumored for the next generation iPhone, but the addition of mobile television is new." And besides, Apple is pushing more HBO's movies into its Apple TV; so it's only natural to expect it'll soon land on iPhone as well.
  • iPhone as Apple's universal remote control. This is not like the Signal app at all, but an actual built-in remote control feature to control not only Apple TV but also iPod and Mac as well. Crave got a pretty solid proof about this: "The smoking gun of all patents though was the one filed on September 11, 2006. Titled "Backup of media libraries," it loosely describes a way to play back and record media content. The patent depicts several ways to access the information, including onscreen overlays and a remote control media interface that appears in a portrait-size display that would fit in your hand. Sound like any devices you know?"
  • Steve Jobs is postponing iPhone 2.0! Engadget got this one: "On June 9th, Steve Jobs will be speaking at WWDC. Plans are vague right now, but we understand he will give two lectures on Sudoku, a shirt-folding seminar, and will discuss the possibilities of using a perpetual motion machine to replace the engine in his 1986 Volvo. Afterwards, every developer gets a hug and a low five. It's unlikely he'll discuss the 3G iPhone."
  • iPhone 2.0 will get full QWERTY keyboard! Looks like Steve is fed up with so many mobile manufacturers out there, which everyone of them are trying to create "iPhone-killer" handsets to topple his pride-and-joy: iPhone. So Steve decided to create both "BlackBerry-killer" and "Treo/Centro-killer" iPhone handsets, so the new iPhone 2.0 will have full built-in QWERTY keyboard!!

Okay, okay; I must warn you about those last two I mentioned above. You have to read them carefully, and with more wit than blind love. But hey, the WWDC '08 is coming soon. And I only have few more weeks to play with your passion for iPhone 2.0, before it's all out and official by then. ;-D

Peace, my brother & sister. ~the iPhone 2 pic is courtesy of ulksk8~
