iPhone Nano is next

If we take a look back on the successful spree of iPod, where there are mini-sized (and features too) from the original iPod; then it's logical for us to impose that Apple will also going to release the mini-sized of current iPhone.

Aw, c'mon. Don't tell me you never thought of that too? But hey, nay. This isn't just one of my silly tease on you at all, although the left mock-up picture is. ;-p ~LOL~ (click on it to enlarge it)

There's an actual leak info from Apple's latest patent request, as reported by
MacNN: "On June 19, 2008, the US Patent & Trademark Office published Apple’s patent application titled Pet-based touch pad which relates to a sensor panel substrate called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The substrate which is now used in Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch may be eventually coming to the iPod Classic according to one of the patent illustrations."

And as what
TiB has said about this: "In a nutshell, it covers a method for making an iPhone-style touchscreen out of “sensor panel substrate called polyethylene terephthalate (PET)”. It’s directed towards an iPod Classic style device, although an example phone is also detailed, but in our iPhone world, we’re imagining it might also one day find its way into an iPhone Nano as well…"

Could this be really become a reality? Because if it is, then you might as well restrain your impulse to purchase the already "cheap" upcoming iPhone 3G; since the mini-sized ones usually come in less expensive price tag. Of course the features also less, but if size does matter for you... (click on the right image to view it larger)

And we also have come to accustomed with Steve Jobs' surprises whenever he's on stage, introducing new unexpected things that came out from his turtle-neck sleeves. So we'll have to wait and see about this rumor. In the mean time, why don't you enjoy a little bit of laugh with iPhone Nano video clip parody below from David Letterman's show. Have a joyful end of Sunday, cuz tomorrow is the usual busy Monday!
